The tower sports a plain, ordinary black chassis, but the front is made of glossy black plastic. There is an additional bay underneath the DVD panel if you plan to add another hard drive or possibly a Blu-Ray player. The width of the computer is approximately seven inches with the power button found at the top for quick access. This computer includes a mouse and keyboard set that are wired and rather generic. While most budget computer systems are loaded with all types of software, this HP computer doesn't not have much. Several trial ware, and HP's MediaSmart video and music playback suite.
There are a couple of useful ports located on the front, with a multi-format card reader bay being one of the ports. This computer from HP also has two USB 2.0 ports in the front and microphone and headphone jacks. Since this HP computer is a budget computer, it doesn't have other ports like Firewire or USB 3.0. The back features an Ethernet port, four USB 2.0 ports, one DVI-out, one VGA-out, and an S/PDIF-out. Also, this HP Pavilion computer comes with 7.1 surround sound. As your computing needs grow, this HP computer can be limiting. As is the case with other budget computer systems, the internals look to be a jumbled mess, with wires bundled in the middle of the computer. There's not much you can do if you want to load it up with better PC cards. Nonetheless, you can upgrade the video card.
As a gaming computer, the HP Pavilion p6720f is not the best option or even a PC to even consider. The ATI integrated graphics chip was not built to deal with the graphics involved in a lot of high end computer games. More casual computer games are more suitable to these inexpensive computers. The Micro Express MicroFlex 25B, which will cost you a few hundred dollars more, will be a much better choice for your digital entertainment. The Pavilion p6720f, for the cost, has enough hard drive, and a quad-core processor that will give you lots of speed. This HP Pavilion computer was right for me, because it did everything that I needed it to do. It was fast, easy and inexpensive.
