All About Cosmetic Breast Surgery And Its Unwanted Side Effects

Thousands of women think about taking cosmetic breast surgery on a weekly basis with out giving any thoughts to the side effects of undergoing such a procedure. Although appearing physically perfect is an admirable idea, there are several things a woman may want to consider before having this sort of surgery. If you are greatly thinking about having cosmetic breast surgery, be familiar with the possible psychological and physical consequences of having the procedure done.

Psychological Side Effects

Cosmetic breast surgery has a number of psychological side effects. A lot of people around the world are suffering these psychological consequences on a daily basis, whether or not this was as a result of a botched surgery or an unwanted result. Depression is a key factor when discussing the psychological side effects of cosmetic breast surgery. Depression from this kind of surgery can be due to a lot of issues, most of which are very serious. Post surgical diseases causing malformation and loss of additional breast tissue are the main reasons why so many undergo depression from cosmetic breast surgery.

Other psychological side effects may include body dismorphic disorder. Body dismorphic disorder is a condition in which physically there is absolutely nothing wrong with your body from another person's perspective. Then again, you still see a great deal of flaws and unpleasant attributes in your breasts that you are unhappy with. This may lead you to believe that more surgery is required to fix your body. Addiction to cosmetic procedures, as well as breast surgery, is very real; in reality, there have been many cases wherein some women have a cosmetic procedure done on frequently, and even some who have several procedures done on them in one day.

Physical Side Effects

Your cosmetic surgeon will caution you about the hazards of cosmetic breast surgery. You'll be warned of the most frequent side effects such as pain, swelling, tenderness, and also bruising on your breasts and the surrounding area. But how about the not very common side effects? You need to know these too. Physical side effects that are not very common may include infections for example gangrene, permanent numbness, and losing feeling in one or both breasts, scar tissue that prevents you from lactating after childbirth, asymmetrical breasts and the probable rupture of implants if you get them.

Gangrene, being on of the more severe issues with cosmetic breast surgery, is a life threatening infection that can result in a bilateral mastectomy or the removal of breast tissue and maybe even death if it is not treated immediately. Although post cosmetic breast surgery bandaging can become the ideal breeding ground for infection of this kind because of its location (which is dark and potentially moist due to sweat or drainage from the incision areas), other problems can take place. Other possible illnesses related to cosmetic breast surgery include toxic shock and possible anemia because of blood loss from a bungled surgery. Toxic shock is a fatal illness; it will cause death if not treated.

Herniated scar tissue, which is rarely fatal on its own, can cause issues with irritation from rubbing on clothing after your cosmetic breast surgery. This kind of tissue will become a constant threat to infection from being rubbed into an open wound, which may lead many different types of infection, and consistently ulcerated wounds.

Never dismiss cosmetic breast surgery as an easy operation that will heal normally. There will be the possible risk postoperative for you to be introduced to a number of infections, germs, and other illnesses that could cause a life-threatening situation
